YM Confirmation and SALT FAQs

Registration for the upcoming 2024-25 program year is expected to open online by June 1. The deadline to register is August 25. The information below is only posted here for reference - all dates and requirements are subject to change. A final schedule will be sent to our registered families in August.

If you have created your profile with our new website platform, you can click on “Log In” and enter your email address and password to access your profile.

• If you have a profile but do not remember your password, click on “Forgot password?” and follow the steps.

If you do not have a profile with our new website platform, click on “Sign Up” and create your account on the next page.

Please complete all the required information for your student and family. After completing the registration information, you will be redirected to the payment page. Please make sure to complete both steps - registration and payment - in order for your student’s registration to be processed.

The preparation for Confirmation is a two-year program. Teens can begin in Fall of their freshman, sophomore or junior year of high school, and they are Confirmed in Spring at the end of the second year. This allows them time to complete the two-year program before graduating high school.

SALT is our leadership program for Confirmed juniors or seniors. You can join SALT as a senior even if you did not participate as a junior. 

C1: Our incoming C1 teens will need the following paperwork at the time of registration:

a. Copy of Baptismal certificate

b. Copy of First Eucharist certificate

C2: Our returning C2 candidates also need to have a completed Sponsor Form, in addition to the above paperwork. Any paperwork submitted during C1 has been recorded by our office. Please submit any missing paperwork as soon as possible. They can be uploaded to your account on the registration page or emailed to our office.

SALT: Our returning Confirmed teens do not need to submit any additional paperwork. If your teen was Confirmed at another parish, please provide a copy of their Confirmation certificate.

We will provide more detailed information on the schedule, attendance guidelines, service hour requirements, etc. at parent meetings.

Our Confirmation program meets on Tuesday evenings, approximately every other week. There are also three Sunday meetings (including Mass) with teen candidates and their sponsors; Stations of the Cross during Lent; a weekend retreat (Friday through Sunday); and acts of mercy/service projects to be completed in service to the community.

SALT meetings are on Wednesdays, approximately every other week. SALT teens are also invited to be co-leaders of Confirmation groups and participate in other service events at our parish and in the community.

C1 and C2 meetings will alternate between large groups in the parish hall and small groups in classrooms. The schedules indicate which meeting type/location to expect on specific dates.

SALT meetings are held in our Youth Room, located in the Cook Faith Formation Center.

Confirmation 1 will have a weekend retreat and dates are TBD.

Confirmation 2 will have a weekend retreat and dates are TBD. 

Retreat is an important and mandatory part of the preparation for Confirmation. If your candidate cannot attend our C1/C2 retreat, please notify our office as soon as possible. We can help you find a make-up retreat with another parish.

SALT will also have a weekend retreat. Details will be emailed to our families.
