Music Ministry

Mission Statement

Our Music Ministry here at San Antonio aims to lead the congregation in prayer and assist the Liturgy in a beautiful experience of prayer and worship.  We provide a blend of traditional, hymns, and modern music; all wrapped up in a tight and professional sound to lead the faithful in this aim and goal.

God is calling each and everyone one of us to use our time and talents to proclaim the Good News.  Consider joining one of our choirs or ensembles today and discover how fulfilling this ministry can be to yourself and so many!

  • Have you been thinking about joining a choir? Now is this time!
  • Do you know somebody that’s been thinking about joining? Tell them to contact us!

FAQs

A. No! Our adult choir takes all skills and abilities.  Most members don’t even read music as they start out, but slowly learn as they go! Even self proclaimed ‘Shower Singers’ can do just fine in our adult choir…and you’ll be amazed at the progress you will make over a short period of time with us!

A. We have big goals and aspirations for our sound.  We would love to do larger choir sounds, but we NEED more singers to do so.  Altos, Tenors, Basses, etc.

A. Absolutely! We are always looking for more instrumentalists; but these positions WILL be by audition only; and may be used irregularly depending on the group or ensemble’s schedule, and the instrument in question.

 A.  We currently sing on average of twice per month, generally at the 10:00am Sunday morning mass, though we sometimes sing at the 8:30am mass to accommodate our Cherub Choir.  Our rehearsals are typically the Wednesday prior to the Sunday that we sing, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the church choir loft.  This schedule is sent out in at least a month in advance each month.

A. Our Cherub Choir is for K-6th Graders, while our Youth Choir is for 7th-12th graders.  See our subsequent pages for more info on these particular groups!

Lastly, you can attend any one of our masses and speak with Ryan after mass.
